Community Education

We provide free educational sessions for members of the Savannah community to increase the awareness, understanding and use of Montessori methods, focusing on educational methods that can be applied outside of a dedicated Montessori school, including within the home.

MESS created and hosts an annual educational symposium for local educators, parents, and community members – The Child in Nature Symposium – in partnership with Oatland Island Wildlife Institute, St. Andrews Academy, and the Charles Ellis Montessori Academy PTA.

We have also hosted community lectures about Montessori education, and are in the process of developing a series of educational workshops for in-home, church-based, and independent daycare providers throughout Chatham county.
